Experiences and Insights of Latinas in the Portland Tech Community
About this Event
In collaboration with Latinx Tech PDX and host Squarespace and their ERGs, join us for a night of learning, insight and perspective as we hear stories from prominent up-and-coming Latina women in the Portland Tech Community.
Squarespace ERGs act as a launchpad to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace and are leveraged as strategic inputs to maximize business impact and build an equitable workforce. Additionally, ERGs serve as an important reference in unlocking nuances related to Squarespace’s diverse customers to enable future business success. Squarespace has three office locations with a total of 14 ERG's company wide, and here in Portland, they currently have the following groups: MINDS (Mental Inclusivity Neurodiversity at Squarespace), Trans @ Squarespace, Unity @ Squarespace (multicultural group), Women @ Squarespace, Queerspace
Community partner Portland State University will also be on site to share information about their graduate business programs that have garnered worldwide recognition for developing leaders with a focus on innovation and sustainability. Their mission is to create positive social, ecological and economic impact through inclusive, transformative learning and meaningful research.
Moderated by Fabio Valentino, founder of Latinx Tech PDX and Nelia Terrazas, and speakers Diana Laboy Rush from The Math Learning Center, Nancy Perez from Zapproved, Maya Hoffman from IT Motives, and panelists from Squarespace (to be announced), this panel will show us a day in the life and perspectives of how they got into tech and how they navigate the tech industry here in Portland.
