Important Update
PDXWIT is diligently monitoring the local impact of COVID-19 to ensure we are operating in a way that is in the interest of our community’s well-being first and foremost. We are taking all precautions recommended by the CDC, which involves cancelling or converting events to an online format.
We know this time feels uncertain, stressful and isolating. For an organization deeply rooted in community, losing the opportunity to come together in person has been heartbreaking. Even for folks who don't often come to events or already work remotely, it still feels destabilizing to know we don’t have the option to come together. We hope that our reintroduction of in-person events will feel safe and be sustainable.

For our in-person gatherings, we will be following the protocols outlined below:
If you are exhibiting any symptoms of being ill, even if it's a common cold, we respectfully ask that you opt not to attend any PDXWIT events and focus on your recovery.
If you have reason to believe you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, please wait at least 14 days before attending PDXWIT events.
Check-in: At check-in, prior to filling out name tags and entering the space, attendees will be prompted to sanitize their hands (hand sanitizer will be readily available). Additional sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event space. Washing hands frequently for at least 20 seconds with warm soapy water whenever possible is of course strongly recommended as well.
Food/beverage handling: Please wash your hands before entering the catering area at events. We will do our best to ensure social distancing is maintained in these areas.
Handshaking: We encourage you to continue to make new connections at our events, but please opt for fun alternatives, such as waving.
Thank you for playing your part in keeping this community healthy!
